Dr Imogen Tatchell

Dr Tatchell specialises in assessing children, adolescents and adults with special needs, behavioural difficulties, and mental health problems.  

Dr Tatchell has been a practising Clinical Psychologist since 1997. She joined The Psychology Practice as an Associate in 2012.

Dr Tatchell graduated with a BSc (hons) degree in Psychology from University College London in 1991, and then worked in clinical research before completing the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology training at University College London in 1997.

Dr Tatchell worked as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist in NHS services until 2015. Her NHS career spanned many services (in Hounslow, Harrow and Hillingdon, Brent, Kensington Chelsea & Westminster and Hertfordshire) including Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS); Social Communication/Neurodevelopmental Services; services for children and adolescents with physical, medical and learning disabilities; services for children and staff in the care system; and in community children’s services. Dr Tatchell has also provided teaching and training for school and health staff.

Dr Tatchell is experienced in administering cognitive (IQ) assessments, and is trained to administer the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS).

Dr Tatchell volunteers for a charity offering work placements for adults with learning disabilities and autism.
